Another “good” that has been unfolding over past several months and that we are super excited to share is the addition of Clun Forest lamb/sheep to our farm family.
Everyone, meet Luna the adult ewe and lambs Willow (registered Karla) and Poppy (registered Kate). This terrific trio is from a beautiful, well cared for and very healthy flock of Clun Forest sheep in the western part of Wisconsin.
They are settling in with ease and acclimating to being touched by new humans and being investigated by chickens and goats.
Our goals with this crew are many and also still very much in rough draft form. As a heritage breed, the desire to promote and ensure continuation of this beautiful sheep breed is most definitely part of the plan. Stay tuned as we better define these goals, through trial and error more than likely. But first, do ewe know what time it is? It’s time to go hug some lambs and sheep, if they’ll have it…
