Welcome to Timeless Acres! We are living and loving our life in a 100 year old farmhouse on 10 acres of land with a herd of friendly and sometimes mischievous heritage breed Oberhasli dairy goats and a flock of chatty and curious heritage breed chickens. We have also added 2 cats to the farm family, Tippy, the Supervisor, who oversees everything and everyone, and our kitty found in the rain, Rainn. UPDATE 2023; we now also have a lovely little flock of heritgae breed Clun Forest sheep.
In 2017 my wife and I packed up our sweet little dogs, Sophie and Olive, and our life in the city and moved to a life in the country. We were both following our dreams and hoping, hoping, HOPING it would all work out. And as I write this first blog post, I can say that we are still here....so that may be an indication that something is working out.
Neither one of us have a farming/agricultural background and this has been, without a doubt, one of the most challenging, humbling, fulfilling, exhausting, entertaining and educational experiences and also some of the most fun we have had in our lives so far.
We are also passionate about promoting heritage breeds and regenerative agriculture practices. We adore our animals and have quickly come to realize how much richer our life is because of the animals that are in it.
The goal of this blog is to share our experiences and lessons learned with others as well as entertain, inspire and encourage humane raising of farm animals and earth friendly practices.
Thanks for stopping, and come on back now, ya' hear.
Awwww, thank you Jodi! It all feels like a piece of the bigger picture of how we are striving to live a life true to our values. Steeped in meaning and purpose.
I so admire your commitment to the integrity of your farm... from every detail you assure the best quality!
